Annual Meeting Election information
Acclaim FCU will hold its Annual Meeting of Members on Friday, March 20, 2020, at 12:00 PM in the Credit Union Conference Room located at 1823 Banking Street, Greensboro, NC 27408. Elections will be held at the meeting to fill four seats on the Board of Directors. The nominating committee has made nominations for vacancies on the Board. The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled. However, additional nominations may be made by petition prior to the meeting. To be nominated by petition, a completed petition signed by at least 72 members must be submitted to the Board Secretary no later than Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the following address: Lara Heberle, Nominating Committee, Acclaim FCU, P.O. David Dalton, Incumbent
David currently works as the Director – Performance & Operational Improvement at Kontoor, and he also has a Lean Six Sigma
Master Belt certification. David was appointed to the Advisory Committee in 2016 and elected to the Board of Directors in
Elysia Mason, Incumbent
Elysia has been with Wrangler since 2013 and currently works for Kontoor Brands as a Digital Content Coordinator. She
graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from NC State University. In addition to serving on our Board of
Directors since 2019, Elysia has experience volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader.
Joanne Otto, Incumbent
Joanne currently works for VF Services as a Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner – Supply Chain, and she has
been with the company since 2000. Joanne holds a bachelor’s degree from University of South Alabama, and her areas of
expertise are U.S. human resources, labor relations, and employment law. She has previously volunteered in a board advisory
position with the Salvation Army, and she has served on the Acclaim FCU Board of Directors since 2010.
Ed Thomas, Incumbent
Ed retired from VF Corporation as a manager of the Global Business Technology Group. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and Finance, and he received an MBA as well as a Specialist in
College Teaching Degree. Ed previously began the MSU Federal Credit Union in Murray, KY, where he served as Chairman and a
Manager. He has been serving on the Acclaim Board of Directors since 1986, and he has been the Chairman of the Board since
1987. In addition to his volunteer time with credit unions, Ed has been active serving in his church.
