Acclaim FCU will hold its Annual Meeting of Members on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM. This year’s meeting will be in person with a virtual option. If you would like to attend this meeting, please email Admin@AcclaimFCU.org for registration information. Elections will be held at the meeting to fill three seats on the Board of Directors. The nominating committee has made nominations for vacancies on the Board. The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled. However, additional nominations may be made by petition prior to the meeting.
To be nominated by petition, a completed petition signed by at least 53 members must be submitted to the Board Secretary no later than Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the following address: Tommy Riggins, Nominating Committee, Acclaim FCU, PO Box 29527, Greensboro, NC 27429. Zac is the Sales and Operations Planning, Capacity, and Inventory Manager for Kontoor Brands. He served on our Advisory Board from 2019-2021 and became a Board Member in 2021. He lives in Greensboro, where is he is active in the community serving on the UNCG Alumni Leadership Board, the board of the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship, the Greensboro Zoning Commission, and the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Bryan School at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Lara Heberle is the owner and publisher of Stroll Sedgefield magazine. Her experience includes a 25-year career with VF and Kontoor Brands, where she held leadership roles such as Senior Credit Manager at VF and directed the Customer Accounting Department at Kontoor. She was instrumental in designing, testing, and implementing the SAP Customer Master and Accounts Receivable systems at Kontoor. A Board Member since 2016, she has also served on the ALCO committee since 2018. Lara holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance.
Damaris is the Lead Indirect Sourcing Analyst for Ahold Delhaize USA Services, LLC, where he supports five East Coast grocery brands: Food Lion, Giant Food, The Giant Company, Stop & Shop, and Hannaford. His role focuses on managing category strategies to optimize costs while meeting company objectives. He has extensive experience in the apparel industry, with roles in finance, sales, sustainability, and procurement, and began his career in the technology sector as a Marketing Assistant at RF Micro Devices (now Qorvo). Damaris served on Acclaim’s Supervisory and Advisory Council from 2019 to 2024 before becoming a Board Member. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Management Information Systems from Winston-Salem State University and a Master of Business Administration
with a concentration in Global Leadership from High Point University.
